Welcome to IS²TEM 2027, the inaugural International Science and STEM Education Conference, held at the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, from 1 to 4 June 2027.

IS²TEM brings together two established conference communities — the International Science Education Conference (ISEC, since 2006) and the International STEM Education Conference (ISTEM-ED, since 2024) — in a single forum. Under the theme Converging Pathways to a NASCENT Era, we invite researchers, educators and policymakers to share emerging ideas shaping the future of Science and STEM education.

Converging Pathways to a NASCENT Era – Navigating Advancements, Supporting Communities and Empowering New Trends in Science and STEM Education

Science and STEM education are converging, driven by new technologies, interdisciplinary practice and the demand for future-ready learning. IS²TEM 2027 gathers nascent work: emerging ideas with high future potential. Across three and a half days, the conference offers a forum to disseminate transformative knowledge, build collaborative networks and empower the educators and researchers shaping what comes next.
